Most scramble puzzles have a single intended solution, and it is almost always the word that uses all your letters. That is why results are sorted with the longest word at the top: scan the first row and you have usually found the answer. The shorter words below are still useful for puzzles that ask you to make as many words as possible from one set of letters.
If a tile is smudged or a square in the puzzle is blank, type a ? (or *) in its place. The solver treats it as a wildcard that stands in for any letter, then shows you the words that fit. Two well-placed wildcards can crack a scramble even when a couple of letters are missing entirely.
When a set of letters produces a wall of results, the filters cut it down quickly. Set the exact length you need, or use starts with and ends with if the puzzle hints at a first or last letter. The Pattern tab is ideal here — lock in the letters you are sure of and leave the rest as ? to reveal only the words that match.
